The Recreation Division is looking for enthusiastic teens, in grades 9 through 11, who wish to volunteer their time this summer! Volunteens will have the opportunity to assist in the following programs: mobile recreation, special events, summer day camp, and youth sports. At the end of the summer, Volunteens will receive a certificate of appreciation, letter of recommendation, and recognition at the City’s Parks & Recreation Commission meeting.
Must be in grades 9 through 11 as of fall 2023, reside in Chino Hills or attend a Chino Hills school, and be available to volunteer a minimum of 10 to 25 hours per week starting Monday, June 5.
Only the first 64 applications will be considered for the program and up to 44 teens will be accepted. Applicants will be required to interview before being formally accepted into the program. Interviews will be held on Wednesday, May 3, and Thursday, May 4 after school. Upon submission of your application, you will be able to schedule your interview date and time.
All accepted VolunTeens will be required to attend a mandatory orientation and CPR/First Aid Training on Friday, June 2.
Applications will be accepted from Monday, April 3, through Monday, May 1, or until the first 64 applications have been received. Applications must be submitted in person to the Chino Hills Community Center located at 14250 Peyton Drive.
