FREE COVID-19 Vaccination Events in Chino Hills Every Tuesday through November

Generic Covid Vaccine - Newsflash

The City of Chino Hills will host free COVID-19 vaccination events in partnership with San Bernardino County every Tuesday through the end of November. Vaccine clinics will take place every Tuesday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the McCoy Equestrian & Recreation Center located at 14280 Peyton Drive.

The two-dose Pfizer vaccine will be available for people ages 12 and older. The Johnson & Johnson one-dose vaccine will be available for people ages 18 and older. All San Bernardino County residents ages 12 and older are eligible to receive a vaccine free of charge. No insurance is necessary. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

As of Monday, August 23, 2021, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration moved the Pfizer vaccine from emergency use approval to full approval for those ages 16 and older. The vaccine, known as the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, will now be named Comirnaty.

COVID-19 booster shots are also available at San Bernardino County vaccination sites for moderately to severely immunocompromised people as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). For additional information on who qualifies for an additional dose and to review frequently asked questions related to booster shots, visit sbcovid19.com/boosters.

Appointments are not required to receive the vaccine and walk-ins are accepted at all County run vaccine sites. For those who wish to register for an appointment to receive the vaccine, appointments will be made available the Thursday before each event date at MyTurn.ca.gov. Those who need further assistance in scheduling an appointment can call the County’s COVID-19 hotline at (909) 387-3911 Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The City of Chino Hills remains committed to the health and wellness of all residents and City Staff. For additional information and updates related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, please visit www.chinohills.org/Coronavirus.
