The City of Chino Hills is hosting free COVID-19 vaccination events in partnership with San Bernardino County every Tuesday through the end of November. Vaccine clinics are taking place every Tuesday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the McCoy Equestrian & Recreation Center located at 14280 Peyton Drive.
The two-dose Pfizer vaccine is available for people ages 12 and older. The Johnson & Johnson one-dose vaccine is available for people ages 18 and older. All San Bernardino County residents ages 12 and older are eligible to receive a vaccine free of charge. Free flu shots are also available at County COVID-19 vaccination sites for everyone six months of age and older. No insurance is necessary. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
The FDA has authorized the use of Pfizer’s COVID-19 booster vaccine for seniors age 65 and older, residents in long-term care settings, and people ages 18-64 with underlying medical conditions or who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of an occupational or institutional setting. Booster shots are available at San Bernardino County vaccination sites. Third doses of the vaccine are also available at County vaccination sites for moderately to severely immunocompromised people as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). For additional information on who qualifies for a booster or additional dose and to review frequently asked questions related to booster shots, visit sbcovid19.com/boosters.
Those who wish to receive the vaccine or are eligible for a booster or additional dose can make an appointment by visiting MyTurn.ca.gov or sbcovid19.com or by contacting their local pharmacy or health care provider. Appointments will be made available online the Thursday before each event date. People who need assistance making an appointment or who do not have access to the internet are encouraged to call the San Bernardino County COVID-19 hotline at (909) 387-3911 Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
