Caltrans SR-71 Project Will Require Overnight Alternating Lane and Ramp Closures September 13 - 17

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is continuing work on a $4.2 million slab replacement project on State Route 71 (SR-71) in and near Chino and Chino Hills. The project will require alternating overnight lane and ramp closures from September 13 through September 17 from 9:00 pm to 6:00 pm nightly along SR-71 from the LA / San Bernardino County line near State Route 60 (SR-60) to just south of the Santa Ana Riverbed near the 71/91 connector. Plan ahead and use alternate routes to avoid delays.

The following lane and ramp closures are scheduled for September 13 through September 17 from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am nightly (no consecutive ramp closures):

  • NB & SB SR-71- Riverside Drive on and off-ramps, one lane to be closed
  • NB & SB SR-71 - Chino Avenue on and off-ramps, one lane to be closed
  • NB & SB SR-71- Grand Avenue on and off-ramps, one lane to be closed
  • NB & SB SR-71- Chino Hills Pkwy (SR-142) on and off-ramps, one lane to be closed
  • NB SR-71- Ramona Avenue on and off-ramps, one lane to be closed
  • NB SR-71- Soquel Canyon on and off-ramps, one lane to be closed
  • NB SR-71- Pine Avenue on and off-ramps, one lane to be closed
  • NB SR-71- Euclid Avenue (SR-83) on and off-ramps, one lane to be closed
  • SB 71 to EB 60 to SB 15 to 91, SB 71 to WB 60 to SB 57 to 91
  • NB 15 to WB/EB 60, NB 15 to WB 91 to NB 57 to 60

The project is expected to be complete in the late Fall of 2021. Schedules can change due to inclement weather. Watch for signage surrounding the construction zone.
