Summary of Services

General Building and Structure Maintenance:  This item includes, but is not limited to carpentry, drywall, insulation, weather sealing, roofing, glazing, fencing, concrete and painting.  In general, this can include all work associated with a Class B Contractor's License.  Pertinent subcontracting for specific "C" Contractor's Licenses will be permitted per the terms of the contract.

Electrical Services:  This item includes installation or connections of any electrical wires, fixtures, appliances, apparatus, raceways, conduits, light poles, meter boxes, solar photovoltaic cells or any part thereof, which generate, transmit, transform or utilize electrical energy in any form or for any purpose.  In general, this can include all work that can be associated with a C-10 or C-7 Contractor's License.

Plumbing Services:  This item includes the installation or connections of potable and non-potable water systems and the conveyance piping for the disposal of fluid waste.  In general, this can include all work that can be associated with a C-36 Contractor's License.

The City requires that vendors pay the appropriate Prevailing Wage rates for the various potential trades.  Vendors shall provide their hourly labor rates in the format provided in the RFP.

The City plans to award the successful proposer a Maintenance Services Contract for a three (3) year period.  The City reserves the right to renew the contract for up to two (2) additional one-year periods.

The submittal package shall contain three (3) bound copies and one (1) electronic copy (flash drive is the preferred method) of the proposal; and one (1) original of the cost proposal in a separate sealed envelope clearly marked "Sealed Cost Proposal; and a signed W-9.
Proposer must be willing to enter into an agreement with the City of Chino Hills. A copy of the agreement accompanies the full RFP. Please review this agreement and provide the City with a written statement of your firm's willingness to accept the terms of the agreement. Please specifically identify each and every term of this agreement which your firm is unwilling to accept and the reason therefore (Attachment 2). Please provide proposed Compensation and Scope of Work Exhibits with your proposal.
