The City of Chino Hills will host free COVID-19 vaccination events in partnership with San Bernardino County every Tuesday through the end of November. The two-dose Pfizer vaccine will be available for people ages 12 and older. The Johnson & Johnson one-dose vaccine will be available for people ages 18 and older. All San Bernardino County residents ages 12 and older are eligible to receive a vaccine free of charge. No insurance is necessary. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Appointments are not required to receive the vaccine and walk-ins are accepted at all County-run vaccine sites.

The City of Chino Hills is hosting weekly blood drives every Tuesday through the end of October. There is a critical need for blood donations throughout Southern California and LifeStream is accepting donations of all types, especially those in the type O group, a universal donor. Blood donors must be in good health, at least 15-years-old, and must show valid photo identification. Minors must provide a completed parental consent form available online at www.lstream.org. If you have been vaccinated for COVID-19, you are still able to donate blood after being vaccinated or even on the same day of being vaccinated. Appointments are recommended and can be made online. Visit www.chinohills.org/BloodDrives or call (800) 879-4484 for more information or to make an appointment to donate. Walk-ins are welcome. LifeStream continues to require all donors to wear face coverings at blood drives and donation centers.

Area residents can meet with staff representing Congresswoman Young Kim during office hours every Wednesday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in the City Clerk's Office at Chino Hills City Hall located at 14000 City Center Drive. The Congresswoman's staff can help with Federal-level concerns including the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Small Business Administration, the Internal Revenue Service, and Federal student loans. Stop by the Red-Tailed Hawk conference room on the second floor in the City Clerk's Office for more assistance. The City of Chino Hills will provide children with a fun and safe environment to go trick-or-treating. Children will participate in a variety of activities, including craft projects, games, and a costume contest. Candy and crafts will be available while supplies last.

Hosted by the City of Chino Hills and Chino Hills Police Department, women can gain the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude to help prevent them from
becoming a victim at home and while out in the community through classroom instruction and tabletop scenarios led by the Chino Hills Police Department. The workshops are free and open to Chino Hills women ages 15 and up. Advanced registration is required.
