Teen Advisory Board
Mission
The mission of the Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is to empower local youth by providing opportunities to develop leadership and life skills while fostering civic engagement through youth programming, volunteerism, and collaboration with the City of Chino Hills. TAB offers a safe environment for teens to identify, discuss, and advocate for youth-related needs within the community.
The board serves in an advisory capacity to the Parks and Recreation Commission by recommending creative solutions as they relate to youth programs in the City of Chino Hills.
Program Structure
TAB consists of 20 student members: 13 voting members and 7 non-voting members at large.
Members reflect the diversity of the community, and positions are filled by individuals who are diverse in culture, academic skills, personal skills, and bring strong community goals. Members serve a one-year term and may request reappointment for an additional term as long as they remain eligible.
Meetings
Monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month from September to May at 6:00 p.m. in the Chino Hills City Council Chambers, located at 14000 City Center Drive.
2024-2025 Teen Advisory Board
Application Information
Current TAB members serve through May 2025, with the option to request to be reappointed if they continue to be in good standing and meet the eligibility requirements. There are at least 4 vacancies for the 2025-2026 TAB term.

Eligibility
Applicants must be in grades 7 through 12 as of fall 2026 and reside in Chino Hills or attend a Chino Hills school.
Applicants must interview to be considered for the program. Interviews will take place after school from Tuesday, April 8 through April 10, 2025. Invited applicants will receive an interview confirmation email with date, time, and location details the week of March 24, 2025.
