Community Park Rehabilitation Project is Complete!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the grand reopening of Chino Hills Community Park! From upgraded facilities to improved ball fields, this $10.1 million, multi-phase rehabilitation project was designed to modernize and enhance the park experience for the thousands of residents who enjoy it each year. Community Park has been a hub for youth sports and recreation since 2007, and we’re excited to welcome you back to enjoy it for years to come! Construction was completed in phases between November 2022 and August 2025 to minimize disruptions to youth sports groups.
Project Highlights:
Revamped all six ball fields by replacing the artificial turf in the outfields and converting all infields to artificial turf
Expanding the existing parking lot by 88 spaces at the southwest corner of the park near the Eucalyptus Loop trailhead
Rehabilitation of the main bathroom located near the snack bar
Replacement of the windscreens in all dugouts and bullpens
Purchased new portable baseball/softball fencing
Repaired and repainted exterior buildings, infrastructure, fencing, and landscaping
The project was funded in support with $250,000 from San Bernardino County Supervisor Curt Hagman and $1 million from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. The remaining $8.8 million was funded by the City’s General Fund, Parks Maintenance, and various Community Facilities District Funds.
