Wildfire & Emergency Response Community Meeting
On Monday, February 24, the City of Chino Hills welcomed 225 residents to a community meeting at the Western Hills Country Club to discuss wildfire preparedness and emergency response.
The event brought together representatives from Chino Valley Fire, Chino Hills Police, Southern California Edison, and the City of Chino Hills to share how agencies work together to protect the community. Attendees learned about wildfire risks, public safety power outages, evacuation procedures, firefighting strategies, personal preparedness and family planning, emergency notifications, weed abatement, tree trimming, water, reservoirs, and fire hydrants. Insights drawn from recent wildfires and Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) in the region were shared with the group, as well.
A Q&A session allowed residents to ask questions, express their concerns, and gain valuable information on their personal preparedness needs and responsibilities.
