On November 22, 2016, the Chino Hills City Council adopted a Resolution declaring the City’s intent to transition to district-based elections. Currently Chino Hills City Council Members are elected citywide, which means all voters in the City cast votes for every Council seat. Changing to district-based elections would result in the City being divided into five districts and only the voters in a district decide who will represent that district on the Council.
