About the Finance Department
The Finance Department manages the City's financial and treasury affairs, ensuring stability, transparency, and accountability. The Department protects City assets through strong internal controls, provides timely and accurate financial information to decision makers, and delivers responsive fiscal support services to all City departments.
What We Do
Under the direction of the Finance Director, the Finance Department oversees the City's financial operations, budget management, and ensures the fiscal affairs of the City are effectively managed in accordance with the City's municipal code, policies, and state and federal statutes. The department provides accounting, payroll, investments, financial reporting, and handles billing and customer services for the City's water and sewer utilities. The Department ensures fiscal stability and transparency to support long-term financial planning and that resources are managed responsibly for the community.
