National Night Out (NNO) occurs on the first Tuesday of August and is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police/community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer and more caring places to live.
It's a good night to get to know your neighbors!
Since 2005, neighborhoods in Chino Hills have participated in a variety of events and activities designed to bring neighborhoods together and strengthen police-community partnerships, such as barbeques, potlucks, ice cream socials, youth activities, and contests. City Council Members, Deputies, Citizens on Patrol, Fire District personnel with their engines, and City staff visit as many events as possible in one night.
Your participation in this annual event tells others that you:
Want to make your neighborhood safer
Want to build a strong relationship with public safety officials
Want to promote a sense of community
Award-Winning Program
In 2024, the City's NNO event was ranked #6 in the nation for cities with a population between 50,000 and 100,000.
