What We Offer

The City of Chino Hills contracts with the City of Chino and in partnership with the Chino Valley Unified School District to provide a number of school-based programs for CVUSD students and their families.

School-Based Programs

City of Chino Hills, City of Chino, and Chino Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) Partnership
All school-based programs are a cooperative effort between the City of Chino, City of Chino Hills, and CVUSD.  The goal of this partnership is to promote positive school experiences. For more information about signing up for the following programs, please speak to CVUSD school staff or call City of Chino Human Services at 909-334-3259.

Youth Counseling

This program provides counseling services to elementary school-age students experiencing family difficulties, low self-esteem, social adjustment problems, and/or behavioral difficulties. School site counseling is free to students who attend a CVUSD school.

Teen Counseling

This program provides counseling services to middle and high-school-age students experiencing family difficulties, low self-esteem, social adjustment problems, and/or behavioral difficulties.  School site counseling is free to students who attend a CVUSD school.

Tobacco Use Prevention Education Program (TUPE)

The Tobacco Use and Prevention Education (TUPE) Program consists of six intervention/prevention programs:  Model Smoking Prevention Program (MSPP), Project ALERT, Project ALERT Booster, Smokeless Saturdays, Tobacco Advocacy Initiative (TAI) and Smoking Cessations, known as Call it Quits (CIQ). These programs provide 6th-12th grade students insight, understanding, and practical skills for resisting tobacco and substance abuse.

CVUSD's Health Center is located on the Adult School campus at 12970 Third Street, Room L2. They provide medical care to students within the CVUSD and surrounding communities. Their goal is to improve health outcomes by increasing student access to quality and comprehensive health care. Patients must be seen by appointment only. Please call us at 909-628-1201 Ext. 8935. Hope Family Resource Center

The CVUSD Family Resource Centers are school-based service sites dedicated to preserving and strengthening students and their families in need of support.  Their purpose is to help remove a student’s nonacademic barriers to education by assisting children and families with much-needed information and resources.
