State of the City 2025
2025 State of the City Address by Mayor Art Bennett
The City of Chino Hills’ 2025 State of the City Address by Mayor Art Bennett was held on Thursday, June 5 at the Chino Hills Community Center. The event brought together over 200 residents, local business leaders, community partners, and elected officials in partnership with the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce to reflect on the City’s progress and accomplishments over the last year and the vision for the City’s future.
This year’s theme “Building on our Progress, One Piece at a Time,” highlighted the City’s strategic and thoughtful approach to infrastructure improvements, responsible fiscal management, and community-driven growth. During the State of the City video, Mayor Bennett and the Chino Hills City Council Members provided a comprehensive overview of the past year’s accomplishments and shared progress on key infrastructure projects such as roadway enhancements, water system upgrades, and investments in parks, public spaces, and community programming. Mayor Bennett also addressed the City’s budget realities and emphasized the importance of long-term financial stability to maintain the City’s high quality of life and commitment to public safety and essential services through conservative budgeting and the need to seek alternative sources of local revenue.
Unsung Heroes Honored
Five unsung heroes were also recognized for their volunteerism and dedication to our community and the work they do quietly in the background without ever seeking recognition. The Mayor and each City Council member nominate a person to be recognized with an Unsung Hero Award. Honored this year were: David Kramer, Jeffrey Runtz, Grace Capps, Mike Donovan, and Paul Spitzzeri.
