About the City Clerk's Office
The City Clerk's Office serves as the official link between the City and the public by ensuring open and transparent access to government information, records, and legislative processes. Appointed by the City Manager, the City Clerk helps facilitate policy-making, maintains the official records of the City, and validates the proceedings of the City Council and Legislative Advocacy Committee. The City Clerk also serves as the Elections Official and filing officer for Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) disclosures.
What We Do
The City Clerk’s Office conducts municipal elections and Proposition 218 proceedings, prepares City Council agendas, and records the official minutes for the City Council, Financing Authority, Parking Authority, and Legislative Advocacy Committee. The office maintains the City's official records and provides public access to records, maintains the Chino Hills Municipal Code, accepts claims and legal filings, and manages the preservation and lawful disposal of public records. The City Clerk is the custodian of the Official City Seal and certifies copies of official records and administers oaths and affirmations.
